Job Description
Axon Moore are excited to be supporting a well-established and growing business in Lancaster to recruit a new Financial Accountant. This role is paying a competitive salary of up to £60,000 with a flexible hybrid working arrangement on offer.Candidates must be ACA or ACCA qualified.Responsibilities include:
- Preparation of statutory accounts in compliance with UK GAAP/IFRS
- Lead on the month-end and year-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of reporting
- Ownership of technical accounting matters including IFRS adjustments, revenue recognition, lease accounting and consolidations
- Preparation of group reporting packs and support of global consolidation processes
- Production of balance sheet reconciliations, intercompany reconciliations, and variance analysis
- Ensuring compliance with internal controls and SOX/financial governance requirements
- Liaison with external auditors and managing the audit process end-to-end
- Supporting with corporation tax returns, VAT, and other compliance obligations
- Driving process improvements, efficiencies, and automation within the financial reporting cycle
- Supporting ad hoc technical projects such as new accounting standards implementation, system upgrades, or acquisitions/integration work
