Axon Moore are supporting a privately owned, high growth business in the appointment of a Finance Manager. This is an ideal role for a talented finance professional seeking a leadership role in a successful business, who has a background covering all aspects of management and financial accounting.
The Finance Manager role is highly varied and has a small number of direct reports, whilst overseeing day to day accounting and providing hands on support.
Key responsibilities will include:- Overseeing and involved with the preparation of monthly management accounts
- Managing a small finance team including transactional finance assistants and payroll
- Involvement with the statutory accounts process at year end
- Ensuring KPIs and in depth financial analysis is carried out within the monthly management accounts
- Carrying out reconciliations of intercompany and balance sheet
- Managing relevant tax submissions including VAT and Corporation Tax
- Ad-hoc projects related to the ongoing growth and development of the business
- Involvement with the implementation of new financial systems and processes
This is an ideal role for a broadly skilled finance professional seeking a varied role. The ideal candidate requirements for this include:
- Qualified or Qualified by Experience Senior Accountant / Finance Manager
- Willingness to work 'hands on' whilst being able to lead a team

This role requires on site working 5 days per week, so would ideally suit a locally based candidate in the Barnsley/South Yorkshire/South Leeds region. There are good links from both the M1/A1.
