This is a brand new Finance Business Partner role working for the highest performing unit of a fast growing construction company that has made multiple acquisitions over the last couple of years! Working in a high calibre, and stable finance function, this role will act as a Finance Business Partner for the organisation's most successful division as they look to continue their growth, capitalising on market expertise in a specialised sector. This role will hold classic business partnering duties, providing financial expertise on contracts, new tenders, project management and reporting performance to the board.
The role will provide hybrid working, whilst encouraging you to be visible across the business and collaborate with colleagues. There is an expectation to be in Yorkshire a couple of days a week, coupled with check ins to the Manchester team (home to the finance function) once or twice a month.
We are particularly interested in speaking to those that have got experience working in construction, and practical experience of supporting large contracts and the legalities that surround them.
Key duties of the role will include:- Work alongside the Sales team to support quote generation for large scale projects.
- Create tender proposals for board approval, identifying financial performance and commercial risk.
- Prepare strategic initiatives providing financial insight into any impact on potential business decisions.
- Prepare project P&L and ongoing forecasting.
- Appropriately challenge the project team to ensure the delivery of projects on target.
- Ensure compliance with indirect Tax requirements.
- Ensure all projects comply with Group policy on legal risk, working with external stakeholders to mitigate risk.
- Support the roll out of project management software.
- Budgeting, forecasting and month end close for your division.
- Be CIMA/ACCA/ACA Qualified Accountant.
- Have previous experience working in the construction industry.
- Have previous experience working in a fast paced, and evolving business.
- Have experience working in a project management environment.
