Group Financial Reporting Manager | Chorley | £70,000 + bonus | PE-Backed | 1 Day in Office
Axon Moore is delighted to be working with a fast-growing, private equity-backed business in Lancashire to recruit a Group Financial Reporting Manager. This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-calibre finance team in a role that offers broad exposure, genuine progression, and the chance to work directly with an ambitious CFO.
This role will lead a team of both qualified and part-qualified accountants, ensuring high standards of financial reporting and controls across the group. Alongside the core reporting responsibilities, the successful candidate will be heavily involved in a range of high-profile and confidential projects, including M&A activity, system improvements and process development.
The role:
- As a non-month end focused role, this role will be hands on with a lot of projects on the back of acquisitions, and aslo general group improvement leading up to a sale
- Colloborate with a strong team of qualified and non-qualified accountants, from CFO to Clerk
- Partner with the CFO on strategic initiatives and board-level projects.
- Work with founders of newly acquired businesses.
- Work with junior staff to implement best-practice
- Drive improvements across reporting processes, systems and internal controls
What we’re looking for:
- ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified with strong technical accounting experience (practice-trained preferred)
- Proven experience in group financial reporting and consolidations
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence stakeholders
- Ambitious and commercially minded, eager to gain PE and M&A exposure
- Happy to be office-based 4 days per week
