Part-time Payroll Specialist (Contract) | Up to £43,000 pro rata | Blackburn (2-3 days per week) |Fantastic Culture & Working Environment
I am partnering a fantastic services business based in Blackburn as they look to recruit for a Part-time Payroll Specialist (2-3 days per week) on an initial three month temporary basis.
The role is to support the successful transition of payroll operations from an in-house model to an outsourced payroll provider.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Support the end-to-end transition of payroll services from the in-house team to the outsourced payroll provider
- Provide coverage to the in-house payroll process during the transition period
- Coordinate transition activities, timelines, milestones, and testing plans
- Work closely with People Team, Finance, IT, and the external provider to ensure successful implementation
- Identify, track, and mitigate risks associated with the transition
- Ensure payroll processing continues accurately and on schedule pre, during and post-transition
- Ad hoc duties, working closely with the Payroll Manager
Required Skills and Experience:
- Strong payroll operational knowledge, including payroll controls, compliance, and processes
- Strong project coordination and stakeholder management skills
- Experience working with third-party payroll providers
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and reporting skills
