The Company Axon Moore are working with a PE backed, tech business based in Manchester city centre to appoint an Assistant Management Accountant to their Finance team. The business is on a growth journey, has a presence throughout the UK and is looking to expand the team. You will report to the Financial Controller, supporting with day-to-day accounting tasks.
You will support with the production of management accounts and month end close process, ensuring accuracy across reconciliations and reporting.
Salary and Benefits: £30-35k per annum, 28 days’ holiday plus bank holidays, hybrid working 2 days in the office, study support, pension, bonus potential, employee perks.
Your Role:
- Support in the production of management accounts, posting journals and accruals/prepayments.
- Balance sheet reconciliations.
- Maintain the fixed asset register.
- Assist with cash-flow forecasting.
- Assist with the board packs and reporting for meetings.
- Complete the monthly billing run including reporting and analysis.
- Support the sales and purchase ledger teams.
- Support the annual audit, preparing relevant documentation and liaising with the auditor.
- Maintain the accounts email inbox, responding to queries, requests and invoices.
- Identification of areas where profit could be maximised through cost savings or other relevant measures.
