Financial Reporting Manager

Salary: c.£65,000
Axon Moore is exclusively supporting a rapidly growing, acquisitive organisation in the appointment of a Financial Reporting Manager. This is a high-profile role within the Group Finance function, offering the opportunity to play a key part in acquisition integration, technical accounting and wider finance transformation.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you’ll take ownership of the accounting and onboarding of newly acquired businesses, whilst leading a team and supporting a number of significant Group-wide finance projects.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Lead the accounting and integration of newly acquired businesses
- Manage the end-to-end financial onboarding of acquisitions, ensuring integration into core finance systems within agreed timescales.
- Develop and deliver tailored onboarding strategies across UK and international acquisitions.
- Lead and develop the Onboarding team.
- Oversee technical reviews of a large portfolio of statutory accounts, ensuring compliance and reporting accuracy.
- Support the Group's transition to IFRS, including technical accounting analysis and reconciliation of accounting differences.
- Provide support across VAT and corporation tax compliance, including the implementation of new tax technology.
- Work closely with senior stakeholders, JV partners and the wider Finance team across acquisitions, audit, reporting and finance transformation projects.
We’re looking for an ACA/ACCA qualified accountant with strong technical accounting and financial reporting experience, ideally gained within a complex, acquisitive or fast-paced organisation. This role would also suit a Assistant/Audit Manager from Top 10 with exposure to PE backed businesses.
This is much more than a traditional Financial Reporting Manager position. You’ll have significant exposure to M&A, technical accounting, systems, IFRS, tax and finance transformation, whilst playing a key role in the continued growth and integration of an ambitious Group.
