We are supporting a major financial services organisation on a complex M365 integration programme and are looking for a Senior M365 Engineer. This is a hands‑on engineering role, working closely with architects to build and configure M365 environments in line with agreed security patterns, governance standards and change controls.

Key focus areas:

  • Build and configure route‑to‑live M365 tenant environments, including provisioning, baseline configuration and controlled promotion into production.
  • Configure Exchange Online mail flow, connectors, transport rules and related security controls.
  • Implement M365 encryption controls, including BYOK/Customer Key patterns, key deployment and rotation, working from architect‑defined designs.
  • Configure SharePoint Online in line with agreed governance patterns, including site structure, permissions and external sharing controls.
  • Support Entra ID/Conditional Access/identity‑related configuration where required.
  • Deliver changes within formal change management/CAB frameworks.
  • Work closely with architects and programme teams to ensure designs are implemented accurately and operationally supportable.

Qualifications:

  • Strong hands‑on Microsoft 365 engineering experience.
  • Exchange Online/mail flow/hybrid or migration experience.
  • SharePoint Online configuration and permissions experience.
  • Entra ID/Conditional Access exposure.
  • Experience working in large enterprise or regulated environments.
  • Comfortable operating within structured change control.
  • Financial services experience would be useful but is not essential.
