Role Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain enterprise-scale applications within our aerospace engineering digital ecosystem. In this role, you will be responsible for building robust, scalable, and secure back-end services using the latest C# .NET LTS framework, deployed on Airbus OpenShift Container Platform (OCP).
The ideal candidate brings a deep understanding of cloud-native architecture, distributed systems, and high-performance database management. You will play a pivotal role in modernizing our technical stack and ensuring our platforms meet the rigorous uptime and security standards required for aviation-grade software.
Key Responsibilities:
- System Architecture: Design and implement microservices and web applications using C# .NET (Current LTS), ensuring high availability and thread safety.
- Containerization & Orchestration: Package, deploy, and manage applications on OpenShift (OCP), utilizing Kubernetes-native constructs (Pods, Routes, ConfigMaps, and Secrets).
- Database Management: Architect and optimize complex schemas, stored procedures, and queries in Microsoft SQL Server to handle high-frequency data ingestion and reporting.
- Performance Optimization: Implement and manage Redis for distributed caching to reduce database latency and improve system throughput.
- DevOps Integration: Collaborate with infrastructure teams to build automated CI/CD pipelines for seamless deployment into containerized environments.
- Technical Leadership: Conduct code reviews, and drive best practices, design patterns, and secure coding.
Technical Requirements:
- Core Frameworks: Expert-level proficiency in ASP.NET Core / .NET 8+ and Entity Framework Core.
- Cloud & Containers: Hands-on experience with OpenShift or Kubernetes; ability to write Docker files and manage container lifecycles.
- Data Tier: Advanced knowledge of MS SQL Server (T-SQL, indexing strategies, and execution plan analysis).
- Caching: Experience integrating Redis for session management and distributed data caching.
- Architecture: Strong understanding of Microservices, RESTful APIs, and Event-Driven Architecture.
- Tools: Proficiency with Git, Azure DevOps or Jenkins, and modern IDEs (Visual Studio / VS Code).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working within highly regulated industries (e.g., Aerospace).
- Familiarity with air-gapped environment constraints and local-first AI/Data security protocols.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate or Red Hat Certified Specialist in Containers).
