We are looking to appoint a
Production Technologist to join our team in Westhill, Aberdeen.
This role will primarily support client projects through Well CAT and PROSPER modelling, well integrity assessments and well performance analysis.
The Role
- The successful candidate will provide support across a range of projects, including:
- Perform well engineering design calculations (tubing stress analysis, casing stress analysis) to support new well design and existing operations.
- Analyse inflow performance, vertical lift performance, tubing performance, and well deliverability.
- Conduct nodal analysis to identify production constraints and optimisation opportunities.
- Forecast production performance and assess the impact of operational changes.
- Support well review and field review activities through well performance analysis, modelling and opportunity evaluation.
- Support field development planning and well delivery projects with well performance modelling and analytical support.
- Provide technical input to multidisciplinary asset and project teams.
- Support client workshops, technical reviews, and decision-making processes.
- Prepare high-quality technical reports, presentations, and client deliverables.
- Ensure analyses are technically robust, clearly documented, and aligned with industry best practice.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships through professional technical support.
About You
We are looking for a motivated and technically capable Production Technologist who enjoys hands-on modelling and analytical work and is keen to further develop their experience in well integrity and well performance applications.
You will have relevant industry experience, a solid technical foundation and a collaborative approach to working with clients and multidisciplinary teams.
- Degree-qualified in Petroleum Engineering or a related discipline.
- Proven industry experience within an operator, consultancy, or service company environment.
- Experience managing technical work scopes, engaging directly with clients, and supporting successful project delivery.
- Proficiency in Well CAT and/or PROSPER.
- Experience with additional engineering software and integrated modelling tools would be advantageous, including MBAL/GAP, Reveal, OLGA, Olia Soft, IFM, i-DO, ANSYS Workbench, and other relevant well and production engineering applications.
- Strong technical report writing, communication and presentation skills.
- Excellent analytical, organisational and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
