How does this role contribute to our collective success? Aids premium collection, enhances cash flow and minimizes debt.
What will you do in this role?
- Monitor and manage outstanding premium balances across multiple insurance products.
- Liaise with brokers and underwriting staff, on at least a monthly basis, to resolve premium discrepancies and ensure prompt payment.
- Chase overdue balances via phone, email and face to face meetings, maintaining a professional and diplomatic approach.
- Maintain records of all communications and ensure insurance accounting system notes are up-to-date and accurate.
- Escalate problematic accounts to Underwriting teams and Premium Accounting management and recommend appropriate action.
- Liaise with A&R team on insurance system reconciliation issues.
- Liaise with Offshore teams where required.
- Be aware of London Market news re financial positions of brokers within the remit of the role.
You may also be required to take on additional duties, responsibilities and activities appropriate to the nature of this role.

What you need to have:
- General insurance knowledge – principles and practices.
- Lloyd’s market knowledge.
- Good analytical skills.
- Good organization and time management capabilities.
- Good communications skills.
- IT Skills (ideal but not essential).
- A good standard of Excel & Word.
- A knowledge of AccessIRIS (good but not essential).
- A good knowledge of Lloyd’s/Company bureau systems.
Role Factors: In this role, you will typically be required to be in the office 9 days per calendar month and additionally if requested.
