What will you do in this role?
- Support the design, implementation, monitoring and delivery of AXIS’s Compliance Plan to ensure the effective management of AXIS’s compliance with applicable legal and regulatory obligations.
- Support day-to-day core compliance oversight and advisory activity, including alignment to Lloyd’s Principle Based Oversight Framework, and adherence to Lloyd’s licensing capabilities.
- Contribute to the enhancement and oversight of the AXIS regulatory compliance and corporate governance frameworks.
- Support in providing sound regulatory advice to the business, including sanctions and other financial crime matters.
- Engage with Lloyd’s, PRA and FCA in a positive manner and assist in responding to regulatory requests, regulatory reviews and inspections.
- Play a key role in the operation of SM&CR, partnering with senior stakeholders to coordinate regulatory applications and notifications, maintain governance documentation, and support compliance with regulatory obligations.
- Coordinate the timely and accurate completion of regulatory returns.
- Support with monitoring regulatory developments and assist with regulatory change projects in response to business needs, in collaboration with other functions.
- Assist in the preparation of compliance reports to senior management, Executive Committees and Boards of Directors.
- Support the performance of second-line Compliance monitoring activities.
- Assist in ad-hoc projects relating to the implementation of upcoming regulatory developments.
- You may also be required to take on additional duties, responsibilities and activities appropriate to the nature of this role.

What you need to have:
- At least one year’s experience in a Compliance Function within the Lloyd’s insurance market.
- Demonstrable knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations relating to insurance and/or financial services.
- Experience improving or implementing processes or procedures.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrable ability to work well under pressure as part of a fast-paced team.
- Highly organised, with the ability to work on your own initiative and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
What we prefer you to have:
- Experience dealing with the PRA and FCA, and other global regulators, such as the Central Bank of Ireland (‘CBI’) or Bermudan Monetary Authority (‘BMA’).
Role factors: In this role, you will typically be required to attend the London office 3 days per week. You may be required to infrequently travel internationally.
