Responsibilities

  • Handle Accident & Health claims including disability claims under either Temporary Total Disability (TTD) or Permanent Total Disability (PTD) across a diverse A&H portfolio of sports, crew, aviation (Pilot Loss of License).
  • Review complex or sensitive travel claims and report to the A&H Claims Manager.
  • Work closely with clients, underwriters, TPAs/DCAs, market leaders, internal stakeholders and brokers, and assist with the management of TPA service providers and external bodies to maintain premier claims service.
  • Act as lead contact from first advice to final settlement, performing full coverage and liability analysis, reserve evaluations, resolution strategy formulation and liaising with risk managers, in‑house counsel and experts for high‑value, complex claims under the supervision of the A&H Claims Manager.
  • Handle Lloyd’s Syndicate as well as IUA and company claims, liaising with underwriters on wording/policy issues, providing claims info and attending client meetings as appropriate.
  • Engage with claims operations, underwriters, actuaries and Internal Audit regarding claims information, MI and other projects to elevate claims performance.

Qualifications

Required

  • Proven experience in dealing with Accident & Health and travel claims (5+ years).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to liaise with numerous internal and external customers.
  • Ability to develop and sustain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to prioritise and organise workload, work independently and as part of a wider strategic team.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment.
  • Commitment to service delivery, customer/stakeholder outcomes and quality service.

Preferred

  • Experience in a syndicate, company or broker with sufficient practical market experience to perform duties independently.
  • Knowledge of CLASS/ECF2/DOCOSoft.
  • Proficiency with Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Professional qualification MDI, ACII or progression towards III qualifications.
