We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Foundation Learning Lecturer (SEND) to join our team on a part-time, temporary basis. This role involves delivering high-quality teaching and learning to students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) within a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and accessible lessons tailored to learner needs
- Support students in developing essential skills, independence, and confidence
- Adapt teaching methods to meet a range of learning abilities and requirements
- Monitor, assess, and record learner progress effectively
- Work collaboratively with support staff and wider teaching teams
- Promote a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment
Essential Requirements:
- A valid teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
- Experience working with SEND learners in an educational setting
- Experience working within Foundation Learning and/or SEND provision
- Strong understanding of differentiated teaching approaches
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Enhanced DBS certificate covering both adults and children
- Must be on the Update Service OR issued within the last 3 months
