Location: Oaklands Secondary School, E2 6PR

Contract: Full time hours 8:30 - 15:30 Temporary (June 2026 – October 2026)

Pay Rate: £200 per day (PAYE) or £300 per day (Self-Employed)

About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Female PE Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in East London. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to inspire students and promote a positive attitude towards health, fitness, and physical education. The successful candidate will deliver engaging PE lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, contribute to the wider school community, and encourage participation in sport and physical activity.

Requirements

  • Minimum 6 months' experience working in a similar PE teaching role within a secondary school setting.
  • Relevant teaching qualification.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to motivate students of varying abilities.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Enhanced DBS Certificate on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one prior to commencement.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver high-quality PE lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress.
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
  • Promote participation in extracurricular sports and activities where appropriate.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and school leadership.
