We are currently seeking 2 experienced ESOL Lecturers to join a well-established further education provider in Doncaster on a temporary basis (long-term sickness cover). This is an excellent opportunity for passionate educators who are committed to supporting learners in developing essential skills for life and work in the UK.

Role Overview

  • Deliver engaging ESOL programmes to both 16–18 and adult learners
  • Support learners with basic Maths skills for everyday life and employment
  • Plan and deliver innovative, inclusive, and motivating lessons
  • Monitor student progress, attendance, and achievement
  • Contribute to curriculum development and quality assurance
  • Provide guidance, mentoring, and support to ensure learner success

Location: Doncaster (UK)

Working Hours

  • Position 1: 30 hours (Mon–Thu, 08:30–17:00)
  • Position 2: 20–24 hours (Mon–Thu, 08:30–13:30)
  • Some evening work may be required

Start Date: As soon as possible

Salary: £35 per hour on Self Employed

Key Requirements

  • Relevant teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one)
  • Experience delivering ESOL programmes
  • Ability to teach Functional Skills (English & Maths)
  • Strong organisational, communication, and classroom management skills
  • Experience working with diverse learners in an FE or similar setting

Desirable

  • Experience teaching both adult and 16–18 learners
  • Knowledge of blended learning approaches
  • Understanding of quality assurance in Further Education
