We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Foundation Learning Lecturer (SEND) to join our team on a part-time, temporary basis. This role involves delivering high-quality teaching and learning to students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) within a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and accessible lessons tailored to learner needs
  • Support students in developing essential skills, independence, and confidence
  • Adapt teaching methods to meet a range of learning abilities and requirements
  • Monitor, assess, and record learner progress effectively
  • Work collaboratively with support staff and wider teaching teams
  • Promote a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment

Essential Requirements:

  • A valid teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
  • Experience working with SEND learners in an educational setting
  • Experience working within Foundation Learning and/or SEND provision
  • Strong understanding of differentiated teaching approaches
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills
  • Enhanced DBS certificate covering both adults and children
  • Must be on the Update Service OR issued within the last 3 months
