About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced English Lecturer to join a fast-paced Further Education college environment. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality English teaching to students aged 16–18, supporting them in achieving their GCSE qualifications, including those undertaking re-sits.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging English lessons to 16–18 learners
- Support students preparing for GCSE exams and re-sits
- Differentiating teaching to meet a range of learning abilities
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback
- Motivate and encourage students to achieve their full potential
- Contribute to a positive and productive learning environment
Essential Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (PGCE, QTS, or Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training)
- Experience teaching GCSE English to 16–18 students
- Proven ability to plan and deliver lessons to learners of varying abilities
- Experience supporting students through GCSE re-sits
- Background working in a fast-paced Further Education (FE) college
- Strong ability to motivate and engage students
