About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced English Lecturer to join a fast-paced Further Education college environment. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality English teaching to students aged 16–18, supporting them in achieving their GCSE qualifications, including those undertaking re-sits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging English lessons to 16–18 learners
  • Support students preparing for GCSE exams and re-sits
  • Differentiating teaching to meet a range of learning abilities
  • Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback
  • Motivate and encourage students to achieve their full potential
  • Contribute to a positive and productive learning environment

Essential Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (PGCE, QTS, or Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training)
  • Experience teaching GCSE English to 16–18 students
  • Proven ability to plan and deliver lessons to learners of varying abilities
  • Experience supporting students through GCSE re-sits
  • Background working in a fast-paced Further Education (FE) college
  • Strong ability to motivate and engage students
