We are currently seeking 2 experienced ESOL Lecturers to join a well-established further education provider in Doncaster on a temporary basis (long-term sickness cover). This is an excellent opportunity for passionate educators who are committed to supporting learners in developing essential skills for life and work in the UK.
Role Overview
- Deliver engaging ESOL programmes to both 16–18 and adult learners
- Support learners with basic Maths skills for everyday life and employment
- Plan and deliver innovative, inclusive, and motivating lessons
- Monitor student progress, attendance, and achievement
- Contribute to curriculum development and quality assurance
- Provide guidance, mentoring, and support to ensure learner success
Location: Doncaster (UK)
Working Hours
- Position 1: 30 hours (Mon–Thu, 08:30–17:00)
- Position 2: 20–24 hours (Mon–Thu, 08:30–13:30)
- Some evening work may be required
Start Date: As soon as possible
Salary: £35 per hour on Self Employed
Key Requirements
- Relevant teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one)
- Experience delivering ESOL programmes
- Ability to teach Functional Skills (English & Maths)
- Strong organisational, communication, and classroom management skills
- Experience working with diverse learners in an FE or similar setting
Desirable
- Experience teaching both adult and 16–18 learners
- Knowledge of blended learning approaches
- Understanding of quality assurance in Further Education
