Doncaster College is seeking an experienced Exams Administrator to join the team on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organised and detail-oriented individual with previous education-sector examinations experience to support the effective administration and coordination of examinations within a busy college environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and administer all aspects of examinations processes in line with awarding body regulations and college procedures
- Liaise with awarding bodies regarding registrations, entries, amendments, and results
- Prepare examination timetables, seating plans, and invigilation arrangements
- Ensure accurate maintenance of student examination records and data systems
- Support learners and staff with examination-related queries
- Process exam entries, withdrawals, transfers, and certification claims
- Assist with the organisation of mock exams and external examinations
- Ensure compliance with JCQ regulations and internal quality procedures
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately
- Work collaboratively with curriculum and support teams to ensure smooth delivery of examinations
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 6 months’ experience working in an Exams Administrator or similar administrative role within the UK education sector
- Experience working within a school, college, or university environment in the UK
- Strong administrative, organisational, and communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and education data systems
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Compliance Requirements
- Applicants must have an Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or an Enhanced DBS certificate issued within the last 3 months
