Pay: £22 per hour (PAYE) | £26 per hour (Self-Employed) + 45p per mile mileage

We're recruiting on behalf of Orbit Group for an experienced Neighbourhood Manager to provide temporary cover across a neighbourhood patch in Bexley. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Housing or Neighbourhood professional with a strong background in anti-social behaviour (ASB), tenancy management, and community-focused housing management.

The Role

As a Neighbourhood Manager, you'll manage a designated housing patch, ensuring residents live in safe, well-maintained communities. Acting as Orbit's local representative, you'll build positive relationships with residents while managing tenancy matters, estate standards, and complex housing issues.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing anti-social behaviour (ASB) cases from investigation through to resolution.
  • Delivering effective tenancy and neighbourhood management across your patch.
  • Carrying out estate inspections and identifying opportunities for estate improvements.
  • Managing tenancy breaches and supporting tenancy sustainment.
  • Working closely with residents, local authorities, police, contractors, and partner agencies.
  • Supporting vulnerable residents and making safeguarding referrals where required.
  • Providing excellent customer service while maintaining high neighbourhood standards.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Neighbourhood Manager, Neighbourhood Officer, Housing Officer, or similar within social housing.
  • Proven experience managing anti-social behaviour (ASB) cases.
  • Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.

  • Hybrid working – a mixture of home working, office-based work, and travel across your designated neighbourhood patch.
  • Monday to Friday with flexible working hours between 8:00am–8:00pm (not 12-hour shifts).
  • £22–£25 per hour PAYE or £26 per hour (Self-Employed). 45p per mile mileage reimbursement.
  • Initial 12-week contract with the potential to be extended or become permanent.
