The Role
We are looking for experienced transmission service operatives to work across multiple sites throughout the UK. Working on high-voltage transmission infrastructure (33kV-400kV), this role supports specialist access, painting and quality assurance activities in line with strict safety and compliance standards. Candidates must have prior experience working on transmission or distribution towers and a strong understanding of maintaining Safety from the System. This role involves working away from home on a rotational basis, typically including alternate weekends.
Responsibilities
- Painting electrical tower pylons for the National Grid Contract and other power distribution networks.
- Candidates should have previous experience working on transmission/distribution towers and be able to demonstrate a good knowledge of procedures for maintaining safety from the system.
- Works will be undertaken on various structures of towers; voltage ratings range from 33/66/132/275/400kV.
- Competency to receive a client Safety Document and adhere to the instructions detailed therein (training provided if required).
- Completion of a site risk assessment and other relevant documentation and the ability to work to company RAMS (Risk Assessment).
