We are looking for a Data Analyst - Bid Performance & Insight to strengthen our bid and growth capability through high-quality data analysis, insight and evidence. Reporting to the Bid Director, this role plays a critical part in understanding why we win and lose work, identifying trends in tender feedback, and translating performance data into compelling, evidenceāled bid submissions. You will work closely with bid writers, operational leaders and commercial teams to ensure our bids are dataādriven, credible and differentiated.
This is a collaborative role sitting at the intersection of data, performance and commercial decisionāmaking, with real influence over bid strategy and continuous improvement.
What You'll Do- Own the analysis of bid performance and win/loss outcomes, maintaining accurate bid records and producing insight by customer sector, workstream, contract type and response theme.
- Analyse tender feedback and pricing outcomes to identify patterns, trends and root causes of lost bids, feeding recommendations into bid reviews and lessonsālearnt activity.
- Extract, cleanse and analyse Groupāwide operational and contractual data, benchmarking performance against market and industry standards.
- Identify and evidence valueāadd propositions for inclusion in bid submissions, working closely with bid, commercial and operational teams.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports (e.g. Power BI, Excel, SQL) that provide timely, meaningful insight to the bid team and senior leadership.
- Ensure bid and performance data held within CRM and bid tracking systems is accurate, complete and consistently maintained.
- Present insights and recommendations clearly at bid strategy sessions, reviews and stakeholder meetings.
- Support the continuous improvement of bid processes and evidence capture, embedding a dataāled approach to bid strategy and decisionāmaking.
- Proven experience in a data analysis or insight role, ideally within bids, commercial, performance or operational environments.
- Strong analytical capability, with the ability to identify patterns, trends and root causes from complex data sets.
- Experience using tools such as Excel, Power BI and/or SQL.
- Ability to translate data into clear, compelling insight for nonātechnical audiences.
- High attention to detail and a strong commitment to data accuracy.
- Experience working with bid teams, tender data or CRM / bid management systems.
- Knowledge of property maintenance, construction, FM or publicāsector procurement environments.
- Experience supporting continuous improvement or performance optimisation initiatives.
- Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 per annum.
