Concept Building Services, part of Axis CLC, is a specialist maintenance, compliance and refurbishment provider operating across complex and highly regulated environments. Established in 2003, Concept supports clients across Defence, Education, Healthcare and Critical National Infrastructure, delivering safe, compliant solutions from minor repairs through to full-scale building works.

The Accounts Assistant will support the finance team with day-to-day transactional accounting activities, ensuring accurate processing, timely reporting and smooth financial operations. This role is ideal for someone who is organised, detail-focused and eager to develop within a busy finance function. This role is working 3 days a week - Monday-Wednesday/Thursdays.

What You'll Deliver
  • Manage and process all weekly LOSC subcontractor invoices, ensuring accuracy, correct internal job number allocation and timely resolution of any discrepancies or queries.
  • Process all accompanying receipts, expenses and supporting documentation to maintain accurate and compliant financial records.
  • Generate weekly schedules for payments, van hire, training and other operational requirements.
  • Process approved payments through the online banking system in line with internal controls and deadlines.
  • Support the wider finance and operations teams with ad-hoc tasks, including reviewing project reports from Contract Managers, updating job records, querying budgets and preparing supplier statements for monthly payment runs.
About you
  • Experience in an accounts or finance support role (desirable).
  • Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and finance systems.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to manage workload, meet deadlines and work collaboratively within a team.
  • A willingness to learn and develop within the finance function.
  • AAT Level 2 or higher Preferred but not Essential.
What We Offer
  • Salary: £30,000 Pro Rata to 3 or 4 days a week.
  • 25 days holiday + bank holidays (Pro Rata to 3 - 4 days a week)
