Job Summary

To develop and build company sales for the Group.

Responsibilities

  • To develop existing client relationships and identify further streams of revenue.
  • To seek and develop new business opportunities within the sales territory.
  • To continue the company’s good standing and reputation within the industry.
  • Ensure that the company meets its customers' expectations regarding the delivery of service.
  • Be responsive to client and colleague requests.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of BS7036-0 and EN16005, Industry Codes of Practice for risk assessing and installing automatic doors.
  • Read drawings and interpret customer requirements.
  • Prepare specifications and quotations using an integrated web‑based software solution.
  • Update the CRM system to support future sales and marketing strategies.
  • Report sales activity and attend all sales meetings as required.
  • Achieve quarterly and annual sales targets.
  • Undertake CPD presentations with clients.
  • Plan, schedule and manage time effectively.
  • Liaise and plan with all other departments to ensure delivery of a project.
  • Offer clear communications and instructions to all stakeholders.
  • Follow company procedures and always maintain quality standards and practices.
  • Conduct any new tasks arising from the development of departmental processes and directives from the Managing Director.
  • Perform any other duties and responsibilities commensurate with the position.

Qualifications and Accreditations

  • Educated to college standards – desirable.

  • Experience in the Healthcare & Automatic Door Industry – desirable.
  • Understanding of aluminium commercial shop front systems – desirable.
  • Ability to undertake a site survey for risk assessment, specification and quotation purposes – essential.
  • Understanding of construction & site conditions & working practices – desirable.
  • Understanding of current Building and DDA regulations – desirable.
  • Knowledge of risk assessments & method statements – desirable.
  • Able to work as a team player – essential.
  • Excellent relationship building and communication skills – essential.

  • Customer Service Desk Coordinator – Northampton, Northamptonshire
  • Job Status: Full‑time / Permanent Contract

Required Experience: Minimum of 1 year customer service experience.

Job Summary

This role is pivotal within the company where the successful candidate will join a small team of coordinators to take responsibility for customer enquiries and the deployment of a team of engineers.

Responsibilities

  • Handle all incoming customer enquiries from the initial communication through to resolution and provide updates at all stages to ensure the highest level of service.
  • Update customer portals ensuring that service levels and key performance indicators are met.
  • Liaise with other departments to schedule project and installation work effectively and efficiently to maximise productivity.
  • Understand the meaning and value of customer service and its importance to the company's success.
  • Deliver a message clearly and provide all the correct information without being prompted or chased.
  • Work with a bespoke IT system that incorporates an engineer’s diary.
  • Ensure that all relevant job information is captured on the system clearly and concisely and passed to the relevant engineer.
  • Be assertive and use initiative when issues arise, applying extensive customer service knowledge to enhance the experience.
  • Balance works with resources, ensuring engineers are allocated sufficient workload in line with expected daily targets.
  • Seek new and improved working methods that can streamline the department and provide sales opportunities.
  • Record and pass on any sales leads to the relevant salesperson in a timely manner so that customer expectations on response times are exceeded.
  • Produce schedules for customers detailing where and when the company will attend site to carry out contractual servicing works.
  • Issue, book in and send work out to the engineer on a daily basis.
  • Chase for outstanding worksheets and process worksheets for invoicing.
  • Be included in quoting for small‑works quotation following callouts.
  • Understand the importance of procuring new/existing preventative maintenance agreements and their value to the company and clients.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures at all times.
  • Prepare and submit accurate invoicing details to the Accounts Department to enable billing to take place efficiently.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of 1 year customer service experience – essential.
  • Strong communication and relationship‑building skills – essential.
  • Ability to work in a team and demonstrate initiative – essential.
  • Familiarity with electronic engineer diary systems is desirable.
  • Knowledge of customer service best practices is desirable.
