Are you skilled in soldering and passionate about producing high-quality work? Join our friendly and professional Auto Assembly team, where precision and teamwork come together to deliver excellence. We are looking for a detail-oriented individual with experience in electronic assembly, soldering to IPC Class 3 standards. This individual will be working as part of a team in Auto assembly and mainly responsible for re-working a combination of SMT and through hole components.
Main Duties:
- Rework SMT and PTH components using a variety of equipment and techniques such as hot air pencil and back heaters.
- Interacting with automatic inspection systems such as AOI/X-ray.
- Follow detailed assembly instructions and build standards to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Complete traceability paperwork including batch records, build reports, and logs.
- Maintain soldering tools and equipment, including microscopes and soldering irons.
- Ensure compliance with IPC 610 standards, ESD requirements, and Health & Safety guidelines.
- Collaborate with team members to meet weekly production targets.
- Attend team meetings and contribute ideas to improve processes and efficiency.
- Work flexibly and proactively to support production and quality goals.
Person Specification:
- Minimum 12 months experience in soldering electronic printed circuit boards; IPC 610 or J-STD.
- Preferably with SMT or PTH rework experience.
- Experience of working with a microscope due to size of componentry.
- Strong hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Good understanding of English, both verbal and written.
- Professional attitude with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, quality databases).
