Are you skilled in soldering and passionate about producing high-quality work? Join our friendly and professional Auto Assembly team, where precision and teamwork come together to deliver excellence. We are looking for a detail-oriented individual with experience in electronic assembly and soldering to IPC Class 3 standards. This role involves working as part of a team in Auto assembly and primarily re-working a combination of SMT and through-hole components.

Responsibilities

  • Rework SMT and PTH components using a variety of equipment and techniques such as hot air pencil and back heaters.
  • Interacting with automatic inspection systems such as AOI/X-ray.
  • Follow detailed assembly instructions and build standards to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Complete traceability paperwork including batch records, build reports, and logs.
  • Maintain soldering tools and equipment, including microscopes and soldering irons.
  • Ensure compliance with IPC 610 standards, ESD requirements, and Health & Safety guidelines.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet weekly production targets.
  • Attend team meetings and contribute ideas to improve processes and efficiency.
  • Work flexibly and proactively to support production and quality goals.

Person Specification / Qualifications

  • Minimum 12 months experience in soldering electronic printed circuit boards; IPC 610 or J-STD.
  • Preferably with SMT or PTH rework experience.
  • Experience of working with a microscope due to size of componentry.
  • Strong hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
  • Good understanding of English, both verbal and written.
  • Professional attitude with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, quality databases).
