The Trainee Repair Cell Technician will support the repair and restoration of electronic assemblies within the repair cell, developing skills through structured, hands‑on training. The role involves learning to carry out precise soldering, pad and track repair on printed circuit boards (PCBs), and following detailed repair instructions to ensure high‑quality workmanship. The trainee will also learn to read and interpret technical diagrams and schematics and will gradually be introduced to BGA (Ball Grid Array) rework processes as their skills progress. This position requires the ability to learn new techniques in a structured, methodical way while working as part of a supportive technical team.
Main Duties:
- Soldering techniques for working with a range of electronic components
- Conduct pad and track repairs on printed circuit boards (PCBs)
- Operate and maintain BGA rework stations
- Document repair processes and maintain accurate records
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
Person Specification:
- Experience in soldering and PCB repair.
- Demonstrates the ability to learn new skills in a structured and methodical manner.
- Strong attention to detail and good manual dexterity.
