The Opportunity/Role

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Water Utility Account Manager. Reporting to the Head of Water, the successful candidate will be responsible for servicing the framework contract by supporting, developing and maintaining relationships with operations, developer services, contractors, depots and delivery partners. Patch: Hertfordshire - Kent.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Communicating and collaborating our product and service offering to maximise the revenue and profit potential of the contract.
  • Liaise with Customer Service team to ensure the right products are delivered to sites and depots on time.
  • Acting as the main point of contact between key clients and internal teams.
  • Ensure contract compliance by reviewing the stocking and use of materials in depots and on sites.
  • Ensure the closing of project opportunities identified by the Technical Solution Consultants.
  • Responsible for the management of accurate customer data and project information within the Aliaxis preferred tracking tool – currently CRM.
  • Create strategic alliances with the utilities and their contractors to achieve sales & margin growth in line with the company’s infrastructure business plans.
  • Develop and maintain the Account Plans for Utility customers; to identify the mutual value created by each partnership, including setting objectives by customer to influence sales growth.

Requirements:

  • Experience in managing accounts within the utility sector and demonstrate the management of facilitating opportunities to achieve the goals and sales targets.
  • Exhibit thorough knowledge of the market, product, competitor and customer information in order to keep up to date, operate effectively and contribute to the Company Plan.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and able to challenge and influence positively.
  • Confident communication style, and able to engage at all levels internally and externally.
  • High level of commercial and strategic awareness.
  • Identify and manage key performance criteria, working with other company departments and colleagues to ensure complete sales process efficiency.
  • To fully participate in and contribute towards the Sales Team.
  • Negotiate and deal with Utilities and their contractors to win sales and hit annual sales targets within the Company pricing policy guidelines.
  • Strong IT skills including the management and usage of a CRM system.
  • Full UK Driving License and able to travel as required.
