As a Technical Trainer & Sales Engineer your mission is to deliver exceptional pre-sales engineering support and training to our partners and customers. By developing strong relationships as a trusted advisor, you help us drive sales growth and customer satisfaction. You work in close collaboration with our sales and marketing teams and your responsibilities include product demos, project design support, events, customer meetings and supporting colleagues and partners on technical and product related matters. As a technical trainer you will regularly deliver our Axis Communications Academy courses to our partners and customers in the UK both in-person and online. In this role you’ll be in a unique position to learn the latest about our products and solutions and how they are used in a broad range of application areas, from security to industry projects. In this role you will work with our products and our partners and customers daily.

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Deliver project design support by designing Axis solutions that meet customer needs.
  • Act as a trusted technical advisor and expert internally and externally.
  • Deliver Axis Communications Academy courses in-person and online.
  • Design and deliver tailored training courses to key partners.
  • Demonstrate, configure and setup Axis solutions for proof of concepts and demos.
  • Participate in tradeshows, customer meetings and events.
  • Enable product sales by showcasing a strong business acumen.
  • Actively collaborate with partners and colleagues.
  • Develop your own skills and expertise continuously.
  • Keep updated on latest developments in the industry.

We’re seeking an enthusiastic engineer passionate about technology, customers, training and business. You have a keen interest in helping our partners find the best possible Axis solution that meets end customer needs in security and beyond. You are a team player and have a passion for achieving results through others. You are passionate about teaching and can hold inspiring presentations and can explain complex technical topics to a mix of audiences. The right candidate has experience of working in pre-sales, ideally within the CCTV or Security Industry. You are knowledgeable about networking and IP-based technologies. You are a keen and quick learner who always seeks to learn and develop in your day-to-day work. Finally, you are creative, curious and passionate for technology.

The role involves frequent traveling (approx. 40%) throughout the UK, and occasional travels in Europe.

Apart from this you have the following qualifications and experience:

  • Degree in computer science or engineering preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience from technical position in the IT or security industry.
  • Track record of delivering demonstrations and training sessions.
  • Outgoing with excellent teaching skills.
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced sales environment.
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written (mandatory).
  • Knowledge of network infrastructure is a plus.
