Location: 807 Pharmacy Ave, Scarborough, ON M1L 3K2
Work Schedule: 12‑hour continental rotating shift schedule (Day shift: 8am–8pm | Night shift: 8pm–8am | 7 shifts bi-weekly)
Job Summary
The Quality Control Technician will work closely with the Quality Manager and support the consistent execution of our quality control program to ensure products meet established standards. This includes testing, inspection, accurate documentation, and collaboration with production teams.
What You’ll Do
- Perform product tests to verify compliance with company and third-party standards.
- Accurately document and communicate all test results to relevant stakeholders.
- Conduct inspections throughout production and maintain clear records.
- Provide product specifications for each start-up and verify that parameters meet required criteria.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area in accordance with housekeeping expectations.
- Support HSE Management Systems (HSEMS), the 5S program, and Energy Conservation initiatives.
- Contribute to additional quality or production tasks as needed.
What You’ll Bring
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
- Minimum one year of experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or industrial environment.
- Experience in plastics or piping industries is an asset.
- Understanding of quality control processes, measurement tools, and proper handling of nonconforming products.
- Experience performing dimensional and mechanical testing.
- Ability to read and interpret industrial standards, product specifications, and testing procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to evaluate information, identify issues, and contribute to practical solutions.

Working Conditions
Incumbent spends almost 100% of their time in a plant environment requiring varying degrees of considerable physical labour. Lifting, pulling, pushing heavy objects, standing and walking cover majority of work. Personal safety is affected by exposure to heat, dust, noise levels, chemical odors and the use of equipment such as sharp blades and presses. Moderate amount of sensory attention is required. Limited control of work pace and unexpected workflow brings moderate stresses to this position. The incumbent understands, respects and adheres to the workplace Health & Safety rules and regulations.
