ABOUT THE ROLE
Weâre looking for an experienced Tool Maintenance Fitter to join our Engineering team in Huntingdon. This is a handsâon role focused on ensuring extrusion tooling is maintained to the highest standard to support safe, efficient and repeatable production.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Maintain, repair and modify extrusion tooling, dies, jigs and fixtures
- Ensure tooling is optimised, available and productionâready
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance and engineering improvements
- Support new tooling from commissioning through to production startâup
- Record tooling settings, history and data within the Tool Room database
- Work closely with Production, Engineering and Maintenance teams
- Support continuous improvement, 5S activity and safe working practices
ABOUT YOU
Essential Experience & Knowledge
- Level 3 Engineering qualification (or equivalent) with 3+ yearsâ experience
- Previous experience in a Toolmaking or machining environment
- Ability to read and understand 2D and 3D tooling drawings
- Handsâon experience with lathes, milling, drilling, grinding and similar equipment
- Experience within extrusion manufacturing (desirable)
- Strong attention to detail, safety awareness and communication skills
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team
