You will be responsible for developing and delivering the site's EHS strategy, ensuring legal compliance, reducing risk and embedding a culture where safety and wellbeing are everyone's responsibility. Working closely with operational leaders and site teams, you will provide expert guidance, develop capability, analyse performance trends and lead initiatives that support our ambition of achieving EHS excellence.

  • Develop and implement the site's EHS strategy and improvement plans in line with Aliaxis' global objectives.
  • Drive a strong safety culture through leadership coaching, engagement and behavioural change initiatives.
  • Ensure robust risk assessment processes are in place and that risks are effectively managed using the hierarchy of controls.
  • Monitor compliance with health, safety and environmental legislation and relevant standards.
  • Lead and support investigations into incidents, ensuring lessons learned and corrective actions are effectively implemented.
  • Analyse EHS performance data, identify trends and drive continuous improvement.
  • Support the maintenance and development of management systems, including ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
  • Deliver effective EHS training, onboarding and competency programmes.
  • Share best practice and promote learning across the wider business.
  • Manage EHS-related investment proposals and support prioritisation of improvement activities.

Essential Skills & Experience:
  • NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) in Occupational Health & Safety.
  • Significant experience in an EHS leadership role within manufacturing, industrial or operational environments.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation, risk management and best practice.
  • Experience implementing and managing ISO 45001 management systems.
  • Demonstrated success in driving behavioural and cultural change.
  • Excellent communication, coaching and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience leading teams and developing people.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Desirable:
  • Environmental qualification.
  • Experience with ISO 14001 environmental management systems.
  • Continuous improvement methodology experience.
