Our team based in Worcester are looking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor. This is a key role within the commercial team, responsible for ensuring cost control, value for money and robust commercial governance across the contract. The role suits a Quantity Surveyor who is comfortable working in a structured, framework-driven environment and who values consistency, accuracy and collaboration.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Manage the commercial and financial delivery of commercial interior, fit-out, and refurbishment projects across healthcare, education, and public sector environments.
- Preparing and reviewing valuations, cost reports and forecasts.
- Managing subcontractor accounts, applications and final accounts.
- Controlling variations, ensuring accurate pricing and commercial justification.
- Supporting the preparation of budgets, cashflow forecasts and cost value reconciliations.
- Working closely with operational teams to ensure alignment between delivery and commercial outcomes.
- Ensuring compliance with contract terms, schedule of rates and client requirements.
- Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities.
- Supporting audits, reporting and internal governance processes.
This role requires strong commercial judgement, attention to detail and the ability to build effective working relationships across operational and client teams.
About You
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within commercial and public sector environments.
- Demonstrable experience delivering projects ranging from £250k to £2.5m+, supported by a sound understanding of JCT and NEC forms of contract and effective cost control procedures.
- Confidence managing subcontractor accounts and valuations.
- Good working knowledge of contractual and commercial processes.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- IT literacy, including Excel and commercial systems.
