We're looking for an experienced Contract Manager (M&E Compliance) to lead statutory compliance across our Mechanical & Electrical operations.

Reporting to the Divisional M&E Manager, you'll ensure the business remains fully compliant with all relevant legislation, accreditation requirements and industry best practice across electrical.

Working closely with operational teams, clients and regulatory bodies, you'll provide technical leadership, oversee company accreditations, drive continuous improvement, and use operational and compliance data to monitor performance, identify trends and support informed decision-making.

  • What You'll Deliver
  • Lead and maintain statutory compliance across all M&E disciplines, ensuring adherence to legislation, regulatory requirements and industry best practice.
  • Manage company accreditations including, NICEIC.
  • Develop, implement and review compliance policies, procedures and technical guidance.
  • Carry out compliance audits, inspections and investigations, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
  • Provide technical advice and compliance support to operational teams, managers and clients.
  • Monitor engineer competence and ensure work is only allocated to appropriately qualified personnel.
  • Produce compliance reports, analyse operational data and identify trends, risks and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and deliver technical training, toolbox talks and compliance communications across the business.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, regulatory bodies and internal stakeholders to promote high standards of compliance and service delivery.
  • Promote a positive safety culture and drive continuous improvement across the M&E Division.

About You

  • Expert knowledge of electrical compliance in social housing, ensuring statutory, regulatory, and safety requirements are consistently met across housing stock and resident services.
  • Strong understanding of industry legislation, accreditation bodies and regulatory requirements.
  • Proven experience managing compliance audits, inspections and regulatory investigations.
  • Experience working within the social housing, property maintenance or M&E sector.
  • Strong understanding of Health & Safety legislation, including CDM Regulations.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends and produce meaningful reports.
  • Advanced IT skills, including Microsoft Excel, with experience using digital management systems.

Experience of Power BI* or other reporting and business intelligence tools would be advantageous.

  • Able to develop reports, monitor compliance performance and use data to support operational decision-making.
  • Relevant technical qualifications and professional membership (minimum Eng Tech or equivalent).
