We are seeking a Commercial Manager to support the ongoing growth of Axis CLC. This is a role with responsibility for the commercial and financial performance of multiple responsive projects and revenue streams within the division. You will lead the commercial team, working closely with operational teams, clients and supply chain partners to ensure projects are delivered profitably and in line with contractual requirements whilst being continually aware of the Business Strategic Goals. This leadership role requires an individual with deep industry knowledge, commercial acumen and the desire for ongoing growth. The role demands hands-on management of teams, projects and client relationships, ensuring compliance, safety and performance across all functions.
About You
As a Commercial Manager you will:
- Support and lead on all business unit commercial aspects
- Identify and quantify risk and opportunity across all contracts/frameworks, bids and tenders, ensuring contracts and bid submissions are compliant with company standards.
- Prepare financial models and support the review and development of the commercial bid strategy.
- Assist in preparation and submission of monthly management accounts for Divisional Unit.
- Ensure the highest commercial standards are used to maximise both cost efficiency and profit.
- Ensure that contract terms and conditions are adhered to and in conjunction with the operations team ensure contract variations are identified, quantified, and billed accordingly, communicating directly with customers to ensure all supporting evidence is provided and accepted to achieve this goal.
- Collate and prepare budgetary information
- Support in the production of weekly/monthly KPI information to track contract performance against budget.
- Supply chain procurement, regulation, and interaction.
- Ensure operations in the Region comply with Legal and Statutory requirements including company procedures.
- Ensure all operations comply with Health, Safety and Welfare requirements.
- Ensure individual contract information complies with Legal and Statutory requirements.
- Ensure information is accurately recorded and filed as appropriate.
You will deliver:
To excel in this role as a commercial manager you should possess the following qualifications, experience and attributes:
- Extensive commercial contract management and financial understanding
- Demonstrable record of success delivering a commercial support function on major business contracts and frameworks within the Construction Industry, ideally in Refurbishment and maintenance Sector.
- Strong commercial acumen
- Deep understanding of the Construction Industry, particularly; Property Maintenance, Compliance and Planned Refurbishment Works.
- Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to develop high-performing teams.
- Excellent client relationship and stakeholder management skills.
- Relevant industry qualifications (e.g., Degree/HNC – Project Management/Quantity Surveying) preferred.
- Excellent problem prioritisation skills.
