The Role
We’re looking for a Multi-Trade Operative (Plumbing Focus) to join our team delivering works across the Southampton area, covering void properties, kitchen and bathroom programmes and major repairs. This is a plumbing-focused multi-trade role, where your core work will be plumbing installations and repairs, alongside supporting carpentry and general maintenance tasks to complete high-quality refurbishment works. Working as part of a wider delivery team, you’ll play a key role in delivering works safely, efficiently and to specification.
What You’ll Do
- Carry out plumbing works including bathroom and kitchen installations, pipework, and hot/cold water systems
- Complete repairs and installations in void properties to prepare homes for handover
- Support kitchen and bathroom refurbishment programmes
- Work on major repair and maintenance projects across properties
- Carry out supporting multi-trade tasks, including:
- Basic carpentry (1st & 2nd fix, doors, frames, kitchen fitting support)
- Tiling
- Patch plastering and making good
- Painting and decorating
About You
You are a skilled tradesperson with strong plumbing experience and the ability to carry out a range of supporting multi-trade tasks. You take pride in delivering quality workmanship across occupied and void properties.
Requirements
- NVQ Level 2/3 or City & Guilds in Plumbing (or equivalent experience)
- Strong plumbing experience in domestic maintenance, voids, or refurbishment works
- Experience in kitchen and bathroom installations or major repairs
- Multi-trade capability (basic carpentry, tiling, plastering, decorating)
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong understanding of health & safety
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
