This is a planned works role focused primarily on boiler replacements and heating upgrades rather than responsive maintenance or breakdown work. Engineers will work as part of a structured delivery team, ensuring installations are completed safely, efficiently and to a consistently high standard while providing an excellent experience for residents. The role will suit engineers who take pride in quality workmanship, work well within planned programmes and value getting the job right first time.

Key Roles and Responsibilities
  • Carring out planned gas boiler replacements within occupied domestic properties
  • Installing full heating systems and associated pipework where required
  • Commissioning heating appliances and completing all relevant certification
  • Carring out system flushing, testing and balancing to ensure optimum performance
  • Diagnosing and resolving installation issues while maintaining programme delivery
  • Ensuring all work complies with Gas Safe regulations, Building Regulations and current industry standards
  • Maintaining excellent standards of health, safety and housekeeping
  • Communicating professionally with residents to minimise disruption during works
  • Working closely with Site Supervisors, Resident Liaison Officers and Contract Management to ensure a smooth customer journey
  • Completing all job documentation accurately using digital reporting systems
  • Supporting high levels of customer satisfaction through quality workmanship and professional conduct
Person Specification:
  • Current ACS Gas Safe qualifications including CCN1 and CENWAT (or equivalent domestic qualifications)
  • Gas Safe Registered
  • Proven experience installing domestic gas boilers and heating systems
  • Experience working within social housing or occupied residential properties is desirable
  • Strong understanding of current gas safety legislation and Building Regulations
  • High standards of workmanship with a right first time approach
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a wider delivery team
  • Competence using digital job management systems
  • Full UK Driving Licence
Desirable qualifications include:
  • Unvented Hot Water (G3)
  • Heat Pump experience or willingness to undertake renewable technology training
  • An enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check will be required.
