Responsibilities

  • Surveying of Fire Doors, within Social Housing, MOD, Health care settings, Care homes, and educational settings using surveying app.
  • Supervising, guidance and advice of Fire Door installations.
  • Covering the East Anglia area, Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex, Cambridge, Peterborough and Hertfordshire. (Travel outside these areas may be required from time to time)
  • Working within a team and lone working.
  • Troubleshooting issues and rectifying to compliant standards and best practice, on occasion, adjusting closers, changing locks and replacement of FR Letterboxes etc.
  • All surveys to be recorded on supplied iPad using Plan Radar application (Training will be given).

About You

  • Minimum of 3+ years’ experience as Fire door surveyor (Preferred).
  • Fire Door installer background (Preferred).
  • Strong knowledge within Passive fire industry (regulations, certification etc).
  • Basic IT competency.
  • Familiar with FIRAS and/or B.M Trada certification schemes (Preferred).
  • Experience with using fire evidence-based apps like Plan radar, Bolster, CCS Systems, site audit pro etc. (Preferred but training will be given).
  • Polite, Friendly, flexible can-do attitude.
  • A strong team player, but able to carry out lone working too.
  • Strong interest in fire safety and willingness to increase knowledge and new challenges.
  • Clean Driving Licence.
  • Small Basic tool kit, hand tools and battery drill/driver.
  • SSSTS or SMSTS (Preferred).
