As part of a significant Group IT transformation and wider business systems consolidation programme, we're looking for an IT Business Partner to become the key link between Group IT and our operational business divisions. Reporting to the Head of IT Services, you'll work closely with Service Delivery, Change & Delivery and wider Group IT teams to build trusted relationships across the business. Acting as the voice of the business within IT, you'll help shape priorities, translate operational needs into technology solutions and ensure IT services and change initiatives deliver real business value. This is a highly visible role where you'll influence stakeholders at all levels, support service improvement and play a key part in strengthening the relationship between IT and the wider business during an exciting period of transformation. The role is predominantly office-based, with regular travel across Group sites.

What You'll Do

  • Build trusted relationships with allocated business divisions, acting as the primary point of contact between the business and Group IT.
  • Develop a strong understanding of operational priorities, challenges and objectives, translating these into clear technology requirements.
  • Represent business needs within IT change planning, prioritisation and governance forums.
  • Communicate IT service performance, project progress and delivery plans to business stakeholders in a clear and accessible way.
  • Support demand management by helping stakeholders understand delivery capacity, priorities and timescales.
  • Identify opportunities where technology can improve operational performance, efficiency and customer outcomes.
  • Support the delivery of the Group's systems consolidation and wider IT transformation programme.
  • Act as the first point of contact for business escalations, ensuring issues are effectively triaged and resolved through the appropriate IT teams.
  • Contribute to service reviews, governance meetings and performance reporting, ensuring services continue to meet business needs.
  • Support user engagement, communication and adoption activities for new systems, services and technology initiatives.
  • Build confidence in Group IT through proactive engagement, effective communication and a collaborative approach.

About You

  • Previous experience in an IT Business Partner, IT Relationship Manager or similar business-facing IT role.
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels and influence positive outcomes.
  • Experience translating business requirements into technology solutions and explaining technical concepts in a clear, non‑technical way.
  • Good understanding of IT Service Delivery, Change Management and project delivery environments.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management and relationship‑building skills.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a customer‑focused and commercially aware approach.
  • Experience working across multiple sites or within a geographically dispersed organisation.
  • Willingness to travel regularly across Group locations.

Desirable

  • Experience supporting business transformation, systems consolidation or organisational change programmes.
  • Knowledge of ITIL, Business Relationship Management (BRMP) or recognised change management methodologies.
  • Experience within housing, property services, facilities management or another operational, service‑led environment.

What We Offer

  • Up to £70,000 per annum plus benefits.
  • Hybrid working with flexibility around office attendance.
  • Pension, medical scheme options and life assurance.
  • 25 days’ holiday + bank holidays.
  • Perkbox benefits worth up to £350 per year, including discounts, perks and wellbeing support.
  • 24/7 GP referral and wellbeing support service.
  • 1 paid volunteer day.
  • £2,000 refer‑a‑friend bonus after the referee passes probation.
  • Opportunities for development and progression across Axis CLC.
