We are looking for an experienced and customer-focused Void Multi Operative to join our team, covering sites across Colchester, Wattisham, Wimbish and Woodbridge.
The Role
In this role, you will be responsible for bringing vacant properties up to move-in standard within required timescales, ensuring homes are safe, compliant, and ready for new occupants. You will carry out a variety of maintenance and repair tasks across multiple trades, delivering high-quality workmanship while maintaining excellent customer service standards. Work will be issued and managed through a PDA system, allowing you to efficiently receive, update and complete jobs across the contract.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Bring void properties up to move-in standard within agreed timescales
- Carry out a range of property repairs and maintenance works across multiple trades
- Complete basic carpentry, plumbing, decorating and general building repairs
- Identify defects and undertake remedial works to a high standard
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations
- Maintain accurate job records using a PDA system
- Work independently and as part of a wider maintenance team
- Deliver excellent quality, productivity and customer service standards
About You
- Previous experience working in a voids, repairs or maintenance environment
- Skilled across a variety of trades with good all-round maintenance knowledge
- Ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Good attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Confident using PDA/mobile job management systems
- Full UK manual driving licence
- No more than 6 points on driving licence
- Asbestos Awareness certificate
- CSCS card preferred (training can be provided if required)
- Eligible to work in the UK
- Professional and customer-focused approach
- Post subject to MOD vetting clearance
Working Hours
Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm P1 and P2 on call out of hours on rota basic with standby payments and rate for each call out.
