This role supports ongoing maintenance contracts across occupied and void properties, carrying out a wide range of repairs and improvement works.

Responsibilities
- Carry out a wide range of multi-trade repairs and maintenance works across residential and commercial properties
- Undertake carpentry and joinery works including fitting doors, kitchen installations and general carpentry repairs
- Complete plumbing repairs and installations including bathroom suite fitting and general plumbing maintenance
- Carry out plastering works including whole room plastering, patch repairs and ceiling repairs
- Undertake decorating works including painting walls, ceilings and woodwork to a high standard
- Diagnose faults and complete effective, long-lasting repairs
- Ensure all works are completed safely, professionally and within agreed deadlines
- Maintain high standards of workmanship with a clean and tidy finish
- Work independently or alongside other operatives and contractors when required
- Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, residents and site teams
- Follow all Health & Safety procedures, building regulations and company policies at all times
- Maintain company equipment, tools and materials responsibly
- Travel between job locations, with flexibility for occasional overnight stays where required
About You
You’re a talented and motivated multi-skilled tradesperson with experience across several disciplines.
You take pride in your work, have excellent problem-solving skills and always aim to deliver a high standard of customer service.
You’ll be confident working in occupied properties, able to manage your workload effectively and committed to ensuring customers are satisfied with the completed works.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Multi-Trade Operative within property maintenance, repairs or refurbishment
- Strong skills in carpentry, plumbing, plastering and decorating
- Knowledge of onsite working practices and Health & Safety regulations
- Understanding of current building regulations and safe working procedures
- NVQ or City & Guilds qualification in a relevant trade preferred
- CSCS card or willingness to obtain one
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent practical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to complete work to deadlines and maintain high standards
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Reliable, professional and motivated attitude
- Full UK driving licence
- Own tools and equipment relevant to the role
- Working Hours
- Contracted hours: 39 hours per week
- Flexibility is required to meet operational demands and deadlines
- Overtime may be required when necessary
- Travel between sites is required, with some overnight stays depending on contract location
- CSCS Requirements
You will need a valid CSCS card before working on site. The card demonstrates your skills and ability to work safely within the construction industry.
To obtain a CSCS card, you must
- Pass the CITB Health, Safety and Environment Test
- Demonstrate occupational competence through relevant qualifications
- If currently unqualified, you may be eligible to complete the On-site Assessment and Training (OSAT) or Experienced Worker Practical Assessment (EWPA) route to gain qualification status
