The Role

As a Groundworker, you will support our long-term partnership with one of the UK's largest and most respected housing providers, delivering reactive repairs and maintenance across Merseyside and the surrounding areas. This is a hands-on role focused on external works including fencing, flagging, gate repairs and replacement, as well as pointing to brickwork. You will work across residential properties, helping to maintain safe, functional and well-presented homes and external areas.

What You’ll Deliver

  • Carry out external fencing repairs and replacement works to residential properties

  • Install, repair and replace gates and associated external structures

  • Complete flagging and paving repairs to paths and external areas

  • Carry out pointing and minor repairs to brickwork where required

  • Complete external maintenance works to communal and residential properties

  • Diagnose defects and carry out effective repairs to a high standard

  • Maintain safe and tidy working areas throughout each job

  • Use PDA and mobile technology to record and update work orders accurately

  • Work effectively both independently and as part of a wider team

  • Ensure all work meets required safety, quality and customer service standards

About You

You will be an experienced Groundworker with strong practical experience in external maintenance and repair works. You will have experience carrying out fencing, flagging, gate repairs and brickwork pointing, with a professional and customer-focused approach when working in residential properties.

  • Strong experience in groundwork and external maintenance works

  • Experience in fencing, flagging, gate repairs and replacement

  • Experience carrying out pointing and minor brickwork repairs

  • Ability to diagnose defects and complete effective repairs

  • Experience working in residential or tenanted properties

  • Familiarity with PDA or mobile technology

  • NVQ or City & Guilds Level 2 minimum in a relevant construction trade

  • Full, clean and valid UK driving licence

  • DBS check, or willingness to undertake

  • Eligible to work in the UK with proof required

  • Professional and customer-focused approach

Physical Requirements

This role involves practical, hands-on work and requires a good level of mobility and manual dexterity. You may at times be required to work at height, in confined spaces or on uneven ground, and to use a range of hand and power tools safely and effectively.
