The Role

We are looking for a Painter and Decorator to join our team. The job involves doing high-quality painting and decorating work at different sites in the Wyton area.

You will be responsible for site preparation, surface preparation, colour matching and the application of paint and finishes to walls, ceilings, furniture and other surfaces, ensuring work is completed to a high standard and in line with project requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and paint surfaces to a consistently high standard

  • Apply paints, coatings and finishes to internal and external surfaces

  • Carry out surface preparation including sanding, filling and priming

  • Apply specialist finishes such as stains and varnishes where required

  • (Desirable) Hang a variety of wallcoverings

  • Work collaboratively across a range of projects to meet programme deadlines

  • Monitor decorating materials and request stock as required

  • Ensure works are delivered within agreed budgets

  • Maintain high standards of quality, safety and housekeeping on site

About You

  • To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

  • Previous experience in a similar Painter and Decorator role

  • Good all-round knowledge of decorating techniques and materials

  • Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • A customer-focused approach when working in occupied environments
