Job Description
Senior Wordings Technician – Job Family Grouping: Operations, Job Family: Wordings. How does this role contribute to our collective success? Ensure AXIS wordings or those used by Coverholders comply with current and relevant regulations. Ensure wordings are clear and well articulated. Set out all obligations for contracting parties.
Responsibilities
- Review and agree documentation relating to Policy Wordings for Consumer, SME and Micro-Enterprises.
- Identify legal and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor requested wording reviews alongside Conduct Risk.
- Assist in benchmarking exercises across internal products.
- Summarise and share regulatory changes within the AXIS community.
- Assist in maintaining processes and guidance documentation.
- Support Underwriters with technical queries.
- Work with customer operations to evolve wordings.
What you need to have
- Legal, claims or insurance background, ideally in a wordings role.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience at all levels, including Executive Leadership.
- Ability to own tasks and to independently lead small projects if required.
- Inquisitive mind, not afraid to challenge ideas and ask questions.
What we prefer you to have
- Exposure to the London Market in two or more business classes.
- Understanding of regulatory requirements in local and international territories.
- Ability to recognise and implement operational improvement processes.
- Good technical knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
Role Factors
Flexibility around office attendance. You will support the Customer Operations team to maintain and develop wordings for AXIS customers.
