Senior Field Service Engineer (Automated Material Handling Equipment) Location: Nottingham Salary: £60K – £65K + Vehicle. (Role is hybrid / remote) Shift: Days Industry: Industrial Manufacturer Company Description: A leading manufacturer of automated material handling solutions is looking to recruit a Senior Field Service Engineer to join their team. The main purpose of this role will be to provide technical support and technical training in Automated Material Handling Equipment to both internal and external customers You will also lead continuous improvement to deliver equipment performance and reliability improvements. Responsibilities as Senior Field Service Engineer: * Be the technical go to for automated materials handling technologies * Deliver training to Engineers as required * Provide support with maintenance and repairs to minimise downtime * Compile safety and technical documentation * Lead continuous improvement and root cause analysis projects * Carry out technical audits to identify training needs * Develop and implement engineering solutions in-house and with suppliers to improve equipment performance * Perform analysis and evaluation for technical improvement to equipment Requirements as Senior Field Service Engineer: * Experience of working with automated material handling systems * Exceptional technical & experienced hands-on ability relating to software, automation and controls * Experience in working in time critical environments * Experience of and be comfortable working at heights * Able to interpret Mechanical, Electrical & Electronic technical manuals & drawings * Analytical and problem-solving skills * Willing and able to travel nationally and internationally sometimes for long periods at customer sites.
