Frontier AI is a startup building state-of-the-art agentic systems that automate complex, multi-step tasks typically done by humans. Well-funded, with a value proposition combining cutting-edge research (in computer use and proprietary models) with forward-deployed implementation alongside enterprise clients.
You'd be joining the Agent team - a small, high-calibre group building the systems and tooling that actually makes agents work in production. This is engineering embedded in research.
- Build and improve agent logic: planning, tool use, skills, memory, orchestration.
- Work on internal and academic benchmarks to measure and push agent performance.
- Translate research ideas into working systems (tool calling, new agent capabilities, training signals).
Requirements:
- Senior-level engineering experience from a high-bar environment (top AI lab, scale-up, or Big Tech).
- Strong software engineering fundamentals and system design skills.
- Interest in agentic AI - prior agent experience is helpful but not mandatory.
- Proactive, autonomous, and creative - you spot gaps and fill them.
