We are currently seeking Trade Compliance Lawyers to work with Axiom clients across various industries.
Responsibilities
- Providing legal advice on general trade compliance matters, keeping abreast of regulatory changes and ensuring the organization\’s policies and procedures align with applicable laws.
- Developing, implementing, and monitoring trade compliance programs, fostering a culture of integrity and ethical conduct within the organization.
- Serving as an advisory resource on sanctions matters, demonstrating experience in handling cases and providing sanctions advice autonomously.
- Reviewing and verifying trade documents, ensuring compliance with import/export regulations, classifying products for tariffs, and assisting with applications for export licenses/completing exporter registrations and other regulatory approvals.
- Providing export compliance support for Trade Compliance audits.
Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years of post-qualification experience within an in-house legal department or law firm supporting trade compliance initiatives.
- Sense of urgency combined with strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work both independently and cross-functionally.
- Authorized to reside and practice law in the UK.
