We are currently seeking Investigations Lawyers to work with Axiom clients across various industries.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive legally privileged investigations into corporate and personnel-related matters, including allegations of misconduct, regulatory breaches, fraud, and compliance infractions, utilizing a systematic approach to gather evidence and facts effectively. This may include defining scope, reviewing documentation, developing investigative plans, notifying appropriate personnel, conducting interviews, compiling investigation status and reports, recommending and implementing proper remedial measures, and concluding matters appropriately.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as HR, compliance, and risk management, as well as external resources, to assess risk and implement appropriate remedial measures and strategies for resolving investigations, ensuring alignment with organizational policies and legal standards.
- Prepare detailed investigation reports and documentation, highlighting findings, legal implications, and recommended actions, and present them to senior management and stakeholders to support informed decision-making.
- Provide legal expertise and advice on corporate governance, ethics, and compliance issues, fostering a culture of integrity and accountability within the organization while minimizing potential legal liabilities.
- Oversee, counsel, guide, train and support attorneys and other investigative personnel.
Minimum Qualifications
- 3+ years of post qualification experience leading, overseeing and/or supporting investigations within an in‐house legal department or law firm.
- Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work both independently and cross functionally.
- Authorized to reside and practice law in the UK.
