We are currently seeking a detail oriented Employee Relations Investigation Note Taker to support a team handling complex workplace investigations in the UK for a large global technology company.
Cases may involve allegations of harassment, discrimination or retaliation, as well as grievances and disciplinary matters.
You will attend investigation meetings, capture accurate and detailed notes, and prepare a clear record for the Case Manager. Meetings can last between one and three hours and may involve multiple issues, translators or trade union representatives. The ability to stay focused, follow sensitive discussions and ask for clarification when needed is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Take detailed notes during investigation, grievance and disciplinary meetings, aiming to capture what is said as closely as possible.
- Ask participants to repeat or clarify points where needed, and help manage breaks and adjournments.
- Review, tidy and finalise notes promptly after each meeting.
- Work with Case Managers, who will coordinate meeting schedules and allocate work.
- Handle confidential and sensitive information with care.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Excellent listening, typing and written communication skills.
- Experience taking detailed notes in investigations, employee relations, legal proceedings or similarly sensitive meetings.
- The concentration to produce accurate notes during meetings lasting up to three hours.
- Confidence speaking up when clarification is needed.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage meeting and note completion deadlines.
- An understanding of confidentiality and the importance of an accurate record.
You’ll receive structured onboarding, beginning with observation of meetings, followed by supported note taking before moving into live support. Demand is highest in the UK afternoon and evening, so availability during that period is essential. The expected workload is approximately nine meetings per week, with additional time to review and finalise notes.
